About BioAge Labs, Inc.

About BioAge Labs, Inc.

BioAge Labs' pipeline centers on BGE-102, an oral, brain-penetrant NLRP3 inhibitor now completing Phase 1 SAD/MAD dosing with full data expected in the first half of 2026, targeted at both cardiometabolic disease and diabetic macular edema. In a January 2026 interim readout, BGE-102 produced an 86% median reduction in hsCRP at Day 14 among obese participants with elevated cardiovascular risk, with a Phase 2a proof-of-concept trial planned for the first half of 2026. BioAge held $285.1 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities as of December 31, 2025.

BioAge has no approved products or product revenue, funding its pipeline through equity financing and instead building revenue potential through platform collaborations: an ongoing target-discovery partnership with Novartis Pharma AG, an early-stage program collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company, and a June 2025 option agreement with JiKang Therapeutics covering a novel APJ agonist antibody for obesity. Beyond BGE-102, the company is developing oral and injectable apelin receptor APJ agonists that in preclinical obesity models more than doubled the weight loss achieved by a GLP-1 receptor agonist alone, with the first IND filing for an APJ program targeted by year-end 2026. BioAge's approach differs from competitors pursuing injectable anti-inflammatory antibodies for cardiovascular risk reduction by using once-daily oral dosing, and the company plans to selectively partner product candidates given the global GLP-1 receptor agonist market's projected growth to $150 billion by 2031.

BioAge's near-term prospects concentrate heavily on a single asset: the 10-K states the company depends entirely on the success of a limited number of product candidates, and its former lead candidate, azelaprag, was discontinued from Phase 2 testing in December 2024 after some subjects developed liver transaminitis. With cash and marketable securities of $285.1 million expected to fund operations only through 2029, BGE-102's Phase 2a cardiometabolic and Phase 1b/2a ophthalmology readouts due by late 2026 and mid-2027, respectively, represent binary catalysts that will largely determine whether that runway needs to be extended before either program reaches a pivotal trial.
