Methodology
Built for my own portfolio.
Free for yours.
2,500+ US stocks scored across 10 dimensions every night. Entry targets, risk taxonomy, and seven hard gates between you and a BUY. Same caliber of quantitative analysis Zacks and Seeking Alpha charge $249–$300/year for, published as a transparent tool.
What it does
A quantitative pipeline runs after market close. Each stock gets a 0–10 score across 10 dimensions (value, quality, growth, momentum, sentiment, insider, peer rank, technical, risk, catalyst), then passes through a 7-layer verdict engine that produces one of four labels — see the full methodology for the scoring details:
- BUY NOWStrong setup — all gates passed, current price is at or below the engine's entry target.
- BUY WAITGood stock, bad price. Wait for a dip to entry target or for momentum to confirm.
- HOLDIf you own it, keep it. Not compelling to add more.
- SELLMultiple risk factors firing — consider reducing position.
What you get
- Entry targets — suggested buy price, take-profit, and stop-loss for every BUY-rated stock.
- Risk/Reward ratio — upside per unit of downside, computed from analyst-consensus target with a coverage-tiered haircut.
- Quality gates — five hard checks every BUY must pass: momentum, R/R floor, insider confirmation, no CEO selling, no death cross.
- Bull & bear case — why to buy and why not, generated from the underlying numbers, not opinion.
- Earnings tracking — beat/miss streak, next earnings date, surprise history.
- SEC filing alerts — 8-K filings flagged for auditor changes, restatements, executive departures.
- Macro regime — VIX, credit spread, yield curve, financial-stress index. The model tightens its gates in stress, loosens in calm.
Why free
I built this for my own investment research. Once it worked I published it as-is. The motivation is simple: an investor with $10K shouldn't have a strictly worse research stack than an investor with $1M, and a $300/year paywall is the wrong place for the cliff. There is no signup, no Pro tier, no dark patterns. The site is the product.
